Good stuff, incase you're lookin' for some good stuff...

I watched a Jenna Marbles video on YouTube not too long ago in which she described herself and a 'Goo Hoarder.' Well, they finally put a name on it, folks, as they usually do sooner or later. It doesn't matter if it's makeup, conditioner, lotion, nail polish, lip gloss....ect. The joy of walking into Victoria's Secret or Ulta and discovering some kind of smelly-good/sparkly/make your ___ awesome product. Here's the video I'm referring to:

So now, Ladies, here's my favorites.

Big Sexy Hair Hairspray: Perfect for teasing, and just as the name, big sexy hair. I typically don't live up to the Texas hair etiquette as 'bigger is better' just because it's not me... But a girl likes the hair to stay put as much as possible. It's an aerosole can but doesn't do that sticky Aqua Net thing, which is nice.

CC Cream: I do not wear makeup on a daily basis or even on a weekly basis, I'll tell u why in my next paragraph, but I do wear CC cream which is a glorified name for 'tinted moisturizer.' I discovered this brand out of my monthly Birchbox and fell in love to the point that I tracked it down on the website just to buy some. It's self adjusting so you don't have to worry about matching your color, which takes out the part that I hate.

Skin: If you know me, you know I have NOT always loved my skin and have never felt like I could leave the house without a little makeup on. I had acne when I was younger and still get a good blemish every now and then beacuse I have VERY very oily skin. It's in my genes. But a couple of months ago I discovered Rodan and Fields Unblemish system. These are the same doctors that produced Proactiv, and they've developed 4 different skin care regimens for different ranges of people. I became a consultant, and now I bounce between the Redefine regimen and the Unblemish, depending on if I'm breaking out which is far less often. I've never loved my skin like I do today and this stuff has truly been a beauty blessing. Even my fiance has complimented me on my skin! If you'd like to read up on these products,
Here's my website: www.dmatthews.myrandf.com

OK I lied, I still wear mascara: Something about mascara just makes you look more alive, and I work in an office so I can't look like I just rolled outta bed. This mascara is called "They're Real" by Benefit and I swear by it. If you've ever tried Mabelline's "Falsies" this is very similar, but minus the clumps which is just what I was looking for.
Y'all have yourselves a fantastic day :)

I'm using the term 'fit' loosely....

For any speculation that might arise, I use the term fit as a loose term. I'll never compete in an NPC bikini competition and I will not likely lose any large amount of weight. When I say I gained 20 pounds since around this time last year, keep in mind that I had a RAGING violent stomach flu that accounted for around fifteen of those lb's. I have a tendency to have changes with how my body looks tone-wise, yet have little fluctuation on any actual weight. And I'm pretty hard on myself about it, but I'm working on coming to the realization that if I gain a little or lose a little here and there due to being sick or gorging on vacation, but come back to the weight I tend to hover at on an every day basis..... Perhaps this is the size that God intended for me to be. And I'm not big. I usually fluctuate between 140-144 pounds or so which feels like a lot when I step on the scale... But I wear a size 4. Trying to UNbrainwash yourself is a task in itself but I'm bound and determined to do it. We should be proud of the strength of our bodies and not feel like a number on a scale defines us! For those of you that don't know me personally, here's a picture of what 144lbs looks like. Hopefully this will help someone out there put it into perspective?

Welcome to West Texas

First blog, and I'm not a fan of Google's 'blogger.' It is ENTIRELY less user friendly than technology as a whole, which I work with on a daily basis, so that's saying a lot. Anyhow, welcome to my first blog! My name is Danielle and I'm a 25 year old gal living the West Texas double wide dream. No really... I live in a double wide.

I am originally from the small town that I now call my home again, Sonora Texas. I lived here all my life until I left for big city dreams and a college education.... then came back for love. I've been here right at a year now. I have a dashingly handsome Police Officer fiance, and two furry children that brighten every part of my world on a daily basis. But... there's not a lot to do here. I went to Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas and had everything I needed at my disposal when I needed it, including a fantastic gym that I freqented nearly DAILY. I am a self proclaimed fitness girl and worked at a couple of different gyms over the years and built my passion for fitness and wellness in general because I liked looking and feeling great! Since I moved back to the tiny town an hour away from the nearest HEB... I've gained 20lbs. I'm not what you'd call fat by any means, but working an 8am - 5pm day job will do that to you when you're just coming from a place where you walked to classes all over campus and went to a huge gym every day, not to mention ate right. Well we all know that love makes you gain a couple of 'love pounds'. Every relationship I've ever been in has ultimately led to some weight gain even if not in large amounts. The bottom line is that a man can eat things and stay thinner than a woman. Women were meant for bearing children and holding on to a little belly fluff for doing so.

So basically, in my blog you can look for lots of healthy things that I've tried, and use today, so that I can be your guinea pig. I hope that I can inspire some small town women to get on the road to a healthier state of life. I've had a lot of trial and error in this subject and I'm happy to share it with anyone who wants to read about it.

Thanks for stoppin' by :)
